🥘 Ingredients

This Snickers fudge recipe calls for the following ingredients:
- Snickers bars: original or try your favourite flavour or brand.
- Sweetened condensed milk: e.g. Carnation brand.
- Semi-sweet / dark chocolate: use cooking chocolate or melting wafers for ease of melting.
See the recipe card for quantities.
Top tip: For accuracy, it's best to weigh your ingredients rather than using cups.
♻️ Substitutions / Variations
Swap your dark semi-sweet chocolate for milk chocolate for a softer and less intense chocolate flavour.
You can use any size bar of Snickers, e.g. fun size, minis, full size, and chop them into small pieces.
You can choose any flavour of Snickers bars to try, giving a twist to your fudge, such as Almond Snickers bars, or any of your other favourite brands of Snickers-style candy bars. The Aldi snickers bars are a great, cheaper alternative too.
You can also stir in other add-ins, like roasted peanuts, to your chocolate fudge mixture before pouring it into the tin.

📖 Method

Step 1: Unwrap and cut your Snickers bars into small, ½-inch square pieces and spread half into the base of an 8-inch square baking tin lined with greaseproof paper. Set aside the other half.
Steps 2 - 3: In a heatproof bowl, heat the dark chocolate and condensed milk in the microwave for 20sec bursts, stirring in between, until the chocolate has melted.
Step 4: Pour the mixture over the snickers pieces in the tin and smooth the top.

Step 5: Gently press the remaining snickers pieces into the top of the fudge.
Step 6: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set, and then cut into small squares and enjoy!

💭 Top tips
- Use dark chocolate from the baking aisle for ease of melting. Make sure to break your chocolate into small, even pieces if you don't use dark chocolate chips.
- Melt your chocolate mixture slowly using no more than 20-second bursts in the microwave to prevent it from burning or separating.
- Even if your baking pan is non-stick, line your tin with baking parchment or greaseproof paper. Leave a small overhang of paper to make it easier to lift your fudge out of the tin after it sets.
- Cut your candy bar Snickers fudge into small pieces for bite-sized fudge squares. I cut mine into small cubes by cutting the whole fudge slab in half, then each of those halves into 3 or 4 columns. Rotate your slab 90 degrees and repeat.
